This Dogon sculpture is from before end of the 19th century and purchased in my private collection in 1998, now with a certificate of authenticity.

Dogon female statue in standing position on a semicircular support. The wood is very eroded and worn. The general condition remains good. The peak capsule has been damaged by time. The pointed collar is important in Kambari figurines. The feet are oversized. The statue is heavy, weighs over 3.5 kg It comes from the Niongono region.
