The Binji are a group of people who belong to the Bushoong branch and reside in the eastern region of the Kuba kingdom in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Among the various types of masks used by the Binji, the Tshibangabanga masks are considered to possess the highest level of spiritual potency. These masks can only be worn by the "master of the initiation camps." The Binji people utilized these masks to project a commanding and intimidating aura during initiation ceremonies.
