African Bronze Tiv ceremonial sword from Nigeria.
Size: 57 cm high.
This Tiv sword is from the first half of the 20th century and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
It was made and used by the Tiv people of Nigeria
Most of the surviving examples of such ceremonial weapons date from around the turn of the 19th Century into the 20th Century.
I believe the materials to be bronze and iron (one museum catalog with similar items says the metals are brass and iron)
